The Coast is Clear and St. Marys & Cumberland Island, Georgia are Open for Business!

Thank you to the visitors, suppliers, and supporters who inquired after our safety and well-being during Hurricane Matthew.

In St. Marys we are grateful to report that we are open for business and, with the exception of the Cumberland Island National Seashore Museum, all attractions are open.

We are EXCITED that ferry service to Cumberland Island began on Friday, October 28th.

Unfortunately, Cumberland Island National Seashore did sustain structural damage to its docks. This has necessitated the closure of the campgrounds for an extended period of time. For updated Cumberland Island information follow their page at www.Facebook.com/CumberlandIslandNPS.

St. Marys is a great place to shop, dine, relax, hit the river or cruise your bike. You’ll find interesting museum choices, ample opportunities for outdoor activities, and a huge helping of southern hospitality.

So, we hope you’ll consider helping the coast recover by visiting St. Marys and other towns along the Georgia Coast, all of which are open and ready to provide a unique travel experience.
